locket is built on a simple principle: your memories are yours alone. we don't collect, store, transmit, or monetize any of your personal data. ever.
none. locket does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, crash reports, or device identifiers. there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking of any kind.
all capsule content (text, photos, voice recordings) is stored exclusively on your device using apple's swiftdata framework. if you have icloud enabled, your capsules sync privately across your devices through apple's cloudkit — encrypted end-to-end by apple. we never have access to this data.
when you export a .locket file to share with someone, the file is created locally on your device and transferred through whatever method you choose (messages, email, etc.). locket does not route shared files through any server.
locket+ is a one-time purchase processed entirely by apple through storekit. we do not receive or store any payment information, billing details, or apple id data. purchase verification happens on-device.
locket uses zero third-party services. specifically, we do not use:
locket does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. since no data is collected at all, the app is inherently compliant with coppa and similar regulations.
if we ever update this policy, we will post the changes on this page with an updated date. given our zero-data-collection architecture, meaningful changes are unlikely.
